Design and Technology is studied by all students in each year from 7 to 11 At KS3 there are four separate areas covered during each academic year these are:
Students complete 1 project module in each of the 4 areas As a Technology school we have the advantage of offering a lot of state of the art technology. In the department we have 2 dedicated CAD/CAM suites along with a CNC lathe, a CNC milling machine, 2 laser cutters and numerous vinyl cutters. This modern technology enables students to use real world industrial processes to produce very high quality outcomes The department consists of 9 teaching staff, 1 HLTA dedicated to the department and 2 part time technicians All classrooms have access to data projectors with 4 rooms linked to interactive whiteboards |
