Friday 16th September

We apologise for the delay with some items of school uniform, however this has been due to the high levels of demand for the new uniform. The students look absolutely fabulous and we have had many positive comments about how smart they look. Many thanks to all our parents /carers for supporting the school with uniform.

Monkhouse will be in school on Friday 16th September from 3pm - 4:30pm to sell items of school uniform

Industrial Strike Action Letter

Thursday 30th June

School will be CLOSED to students on Thursday 30th June due to industrial strike action being taken by members of the professional organisations the NUT & ATL.

Due to the numbers of teaching staff involved we would have inadequate levels of supervision of students if we were to open. We realise this may cause parents inconvenience and apologise in advance.

Hyde Charity Ball

Friday 1st July

The Hyde Charity Ball is back again this year on Friday 1st July. Last year the evening raised around £4000 and this year we hope to do even better with all proceeds going to 'Wish Upon A Star' charity. This is an event for staff, parents, governors & friends

The event will take place at Hyde Town Hall & will include a 3 course meal, raffle, & several acts including a swing band.

Tickets priced at £15 are available from reception or by contacting Louise Waterhouse at school.

100% Attendance!!

Each ½ term with 100% attendance and punctuality entitles students to one ticket for the draw with the prizes of: 1 x Apple iPad & 5 x £5 high street voucher!!

Year 11 Annual Reports

Year 11 students were given their Annual Reports during registration today (Wed 6th April) to pass on to parents/carers.

If you did not receive your son/daughter's report, please contact school using the form HERE and a copy can either be passed to your child or posted home

Fizz Fashion Show Update

Unfortunatly the Fizz Fashion Show due to take place tomorrow (Thurs 7th April) has had to be cancelled.

Refunds for any tickets bought can be refunded by seeing Mrs. Waterhouse at school

Year 7: Willy Wonka Week

Next week is the Y7 cross-curricular literacy week all based on the theme of chocolate!!

It is an opportunity for students to develop their literacy skills in ALL areas of the curriculum on the theme of Willy Wonka

Battle Of The Bands 2011

During the week beginning March 7th, three bands made up of students from Hyde Technology School took to the stage at The Witchwood, Ashton-under-Lyne to take part in the 'Battle Of The Bands' against bands from other schools in the area

Pupils should be at the visitors car park on Old Rd by 3.55am on Sunday 20th March

Fizz Fashion Show

The 'Fizz Fashion Show' takes place on Thursday 7th April in the school hall. Doors open at 6:30pm for FREE refreshments. Show begins at 7:30pm

Tickets are available from school Cabinet members or from school reception at a cost of £5. All proceeds for charity.

INSET Day

Reminder that Monday 28th February is an INSET day for staff and school will be CLOSED to students. Students will return to school as usual on Tuesday 1st March
