Computer Suite

 

The Alpha Centre has its own computer suite, which is linked to the school intranet and also the World Wide Web.

The computer suite is used for either private study or for individual learning programmes.

The software we use to help students with literacy or numeracy difficulties are:

• Units Of Sound
• Textease
• Successmaker

 

Laptops

We have a wide range of software on our laptops to help students with literacy and mathematics.

Our latest range of "talking books" on cd rom include "Romeo and Juliet","Macbeth" and "Hamlet", all of which are studied in years 8-10. These e-books are very stimulating and have interactive revision material included.
