The music department consists of two music teachers and a number of visiting peripatetic staff. We also regularly train and mentor PGCE Music trainee teachers from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Facilities

 

The music department homes three teaching rooms. The main classroom is fully equipped with an Interactive whiteboard, one computer, piano, sound system, xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels and a massive selection of un tuned percussion instruments. The ICT room is fully equipped with 15 networked computers all with midi keyboards; each machine runs the Cubase SE software. The third room is equipped with 10 keyboards, 5 guitars, drum kit, sound system, and recording equipment.
