Welcome to the Business Studies pages at Hyde Technology School.

 

Students take Business Studies as an option subject in years 10 and 11. We currently teach over 150 students of which over 64% get grades A* - C.
Our qualification is a double award which makes it a popular option to take.

Skills
The team has more than 60 years teaching experience between them, teaching a vast range of business related subjects at both GCSE level and Advanced level.
The team is proud of past results and this is reflected in the vibrant atmosphere of our lessons.
We work with a range of different ability levels and tailor our teaching to suit all students.

 

Facilities
The department has invested heavily this year in teaching materials which are specifically geared to the teaching of the Applied GCSE.
70 new text books are currently being used which have up to date business issues detailed within them.
Exercises are ‘hands on’ and encourage students participation.
The main business classroom is equipped with an interactive smart board which allows students to become involved in the design of their own learning.
The classroom also has 12 computers for students to produce their course work on
